This casual wrist band is, of course, unisex. The classic genuine Indian head nickel is secured on one side of a leather strip that is sliced down the middle, allowing the button to slide through and create its own clasp. We make the argentium sterling silver accent slide that can be moved to snug up the clasp behind the fringe. The leather strip is hand-cut from luciously-colored brown cowhide or camel-yellow brushed leather. Brown comes in 12" lengths, camel in 11" lengths, so cut the fringe to taste, or leave it long like I do! Sharp scissors will work fine.
The braided version of the Indian nickel bracelet uses supple deerskin in our two favorite colors, camel and cinnamon. The nickel is secured on one side of the braided strips, and on the other end is a buttonhole that is cut into the leather and reinforced with leather glue. The back and edges of the rest of the piece is also reinforced. Bracelet is 12" long with the fringe, which looks great long, but you can trim with sharp scissors if desired! All made by Shauna.
