My thoughts for this necklace were that it feature a gemstone and that 24k gold be applied using the ancient technique of Keum-boo.  The design lends itself nicely to this technique and the Rhodolite stone (from the garnet family) is set off beautifully by the silver and gold. The 18" Sterling silver chain is secured with a Sterling lobster clasp. Pendant is 23x35mm. By Lisa.

Keum-boo is an ancient Asian technique that translates literally to "attached gold" - it is a process where you bond 24k gold foil to fine silver (other other metals).
